Farewell Uncle Bob. In the last few years, when you needed support the most, your family in NSW and Queensland and your friends in Victoria (especially Larry), stepped up to make sure you received the prompt attention you needed in managing your health issues, following up on community care arrangements and your appointments. You thanked us many times but it was an automatic response to do whatever we could and did with any member of the Ellis family, just as would you have done. The community care staff, like your GP and others, found you to be the gentleman you were. Your GP told us you were a lovely polite man who didn’t want to be a trouble to others – a real gentleman and whenever one of us teleconferenced into your medical appointments, the specialist doctors responded to you with kindness and consideration – it was lovely to hear and know you were not having to wait for action to be taken. You were the type of person no-one would ever forget and the love we all have for you will be eternal. Life is not forever – Love is. You’ll be up there having great talks with Dad; and Mum (your big sis) will be wrapping you in her arms together with Nana and Fardy. You were loved and never taken for granted by our family.
