Aunty Edna and I always had some great times. I remember visiting uncle max and aunty Edna on holidays up to Wodonga spending quality time with them, having laughs and fun times defending the backyard from the pluva’s while playing on the swing set. I always think about the great memories made from my childhood with aunty Edna and I’m so glad she was apart of my life at such a young age. She wasn’t just nans best friend to me, she was apart of our family and I will always have a spot in my heart for her and cherish the memories made with her.
I love you and miss you ❤️
Dearest Aunty Edna,
Sending my condolences to your family at this sad time. She may have only been 5ft tall. But, to me she was the Pinnacle of a Tower of Strength, for all that knew and loved her. All I can think about, is the mischief that you and Mum will be getting up to. Now that you are reunited again. And, with Dearest Uncle Max.
Rest in Peace beautiful Guardian Angel.

Family and Friends, Friends and Family – they are one in the same when I think of Aunty Edna + Uncle Max. As children, Leah and I moved around a lot, from town to town and state to state, the only consistent thing we had was the love from mum and dad. But as the years went on a bond was growing stronger and stronger with another consistent part of our lives, the love from Edna, Max and their family. As the tears roll down my cheek my heart is filled with the everlasting love that these people have given me and my sister. It still shines strongly today as my head fills with the most wonderful memories I have ever been gifted. Memories can fade but feelings stay with you forever, it’s the feeling that we can pass on to our children, we can pass on to anyone with open arms and a warm smile. I think of Max and Edna in this way – open arms, big smile and warm hearts. They will forever be a part of who I am and they will always be family to us. Edna used to sneak me money and lollies and Max used to sneak me sips of beer and taught me how to swear like a truckdriver – it’s a very different time now and I’m sure their methods haven’t been used as a guide for other parents…The world we live in needs more love, we need more people like Edna and Max, so please take what they have given you and pass it on to the next person, whether they are family or not – it’s all they would have wanted. With everlasting love from Shane and family.
