Gunter/Opa/ Papa, you have left a hole in our hearts. Your loyalty and unwavering support to your family is to be commended. The relationship you and Stef had is enviable. He idolised you, even when you annoyed the hell out of him. You’re straight down the line attitude to life is where you and I had so much respect for each other. Either of us “give a shit” and we both knew that if we had something to say, we say it. You always made us laugh, and wonder what you would say or do next. The kids adore you, and always laughed at your stories. There are so many stories. I remember one particular visit to Tas. I’d left for work, and to keep busy, you were going to fill some cracks in our outdoor timber table and chairs. I got home from work to find that not only were the cracks filled, but the entire thing had been concreted! Always the wog (he wouldn’t take offence). We all love and miss you always and forever, especially those big bear hugs. ❤️
Love you Gunter now you are at peace wish we were with you all today . Thinking of you all and sending you a big hug .

All our and Condolences to Monika,Geoff, Matilda and Banjo xx and to all the family
My deepest sympathy to Mon, Geoff, Tilly, Banjo and everyone in the Lachs family. Gunter was such a great man and seemed that he would live forever. Such a sad loss.
To Aunty Helga and all the kids and grandkids, my sincerest condolences on the passing of Uncle Gunther.
He was a man that brought light and laughter into everyone’s lives and will be missed by many.
Whilst he may not walk amongst you anymore in the physical sense he will never leave your hearts or the many memories that you made with him.
Love to you all, Michelle xxxx
When I think of Gunter, it’s impossible not to smile. He was the kind of person who filled every moment with laughter, there was never a dull moment when Gunter was around. I have no doubt that stories of his antics will bring laughter to us all for years to come, his memory will always bring a smile to our hearts. Rest easy, Gunter. Your humour, your heart, and your irrepressible sense of fun will stay with us always.
Liebe trauernde Familie,
