Our sympathies to Shane’s family on his very sad passing. He was a lovely man with a good and gentle sense of humour. He adored his fabulous sisters and his nieces and nephew and their offspring. He had a fantastic knowledge of sport and on one occasion could tell me the score of a hurling match played in Cork that day. He will be greatly missed by many. May Shane’s gentle soul rest in peace. Sincere condolences to Staccas beautiful sisters and their families , my memories of the young boy that I had the pleasure of meeting through football in 1968 along with his family, will remain with me forever. May he rest in peace.
Lots of fun and great memories of a great bloke a great sportsman and sport loving fella. Adored and spoilt by his sisters. Rest in peace mate. Cheers 🍻
I’m an old mate of dear ‘Stacca’ after meeting him in the early 70’s. He often stayed with me and some mates on and off for years where we enjoyed some fun times together. Was a good looking rooster and enjoyed a few beers, sport and the company of his many friends. He used to sing a few tunes when I played at the local pubs – however he was not the greatest singer and needed a good tune up (lol). Was always in for a good story and had a great sense of humor.
He lead a full life and I will miss his funny antics.
But ‘Stacca’ you have left me with many funny memories. Thank you for all the great times mate.
Shane (Stacca) Gleeson. Great memories of a close friend and all the good times. Sadly missed. Condolences to the Gleeson family and all concerned.

Our thoughts are with you all. Love always 💖 ❤️ 💕
Dear friends and rellies,
What a beautiful send off for Stacca. We will raise a glass here too now, in his honour, no other reason of course.
For some reason my eyes are leaking even though my heart feels full. Thanks for making it possible for us to be part of it.
Take care. Love to all.
